Video consultation terms
Changing or cancelling your appointment
- More than 24 hours in advance: you get a full refund or a new date at no cost, whichever you prefer.
- Less than 24 hours in advance: no refund, but you can change the date once at no cost. Be aware: if you use that free change, you will no longer be entitled to a refund for the consultation.
- If you do not join and do not let us know: the doctor waits 10 minutes; after that, the consultation counts as held and is not refunded.
- If you join late: you are seen for the remaining time, without extending the consultation.
- To change or cancel, use the link in your confirmation email.
If the consultation cannot take place
- If the doctor cancels or the problem is on his side (connection, an emergency): you get a full refund or a new date, as you choose.
- If your connection fails: we try to continue by phone, if you gave a number when booking; if that is not possible, you get a new date at no cost.
What it includes
- Includes: 30 minutes of video consultation with Dr. Méndez-Benegassi, review of the tests you provide and guidance on your case.
- Does not include: emergencies (call 112) or examinations that require seeing you in person. If they are needed, the doctor will tell you. If the doctor considers it necessary, he may issue a prescription.
- Minors: if the patient is a minor, the mother, father or guardian books it and will be present during the consultation. The patient needs their own ID card or NIE, also if they are a minor; if they do not have one, ask for an in-person appointment instead.
- Language: if you book in English, the emails (confirmation, reminders, entry code, changes and cancellations), the entry page and the waiting room will be in English. The doctor works in Spanish.
Payment, refunds and invoice
- Final price: €120, exempt from VAT (healthcare service). You pay by card when booking, on the secure Stripe page. The card details are handled by Stripe; the doctor does not keep them.
- As this is a healthcare service, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply; these change and refund conditions apply instead.
- Refunds go back to the same card and usually take 5 to 10 business days to show, depending on the bank.
- After payment you will receive the invoice (simplified invoice) by email. If you need a full invoice, with your name, tax ID (NIF) and address, reply to that email.

Receive your link
The confirmation email has the link to join and to change or cancel.
Dr. Méndez-Benegassi uses your data to manage your appointment.
Data controller: Dr. Iván Méndez-Benegassi Silva, ENT physician.
What data and why: Your contact details and the appointment details, to book, confirm and remind you of the appointment and, if it is a paid one, to charge it.
Legal basis: The healthcare you are requesting (Art. 9.2.h GDPR).
Booking and payment: Booking is made in the doctor’s own video consultation application (server in the European Union; when you book it keeps only your email and, if you give it, your phone number; later, in the waiting room, it asks for your first name, surnames, ID/NIE number and date of birth, which go into your medical record. Everything is encrypted and the booking data is deleted one month after the appointment). Payment is made on the secure Stripe page, which acts as a data processor.
Recipients: Your data is not shared with third parties; only the technical providers needed are involved, as data processors.
Your rights: Access, rectify or erase your data, object, restrict its processing and request its portability by writing to contacto@ronquidoyapneas.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
